He received accolades such as "First Team All-Mountain West" for three consecutive years and was a consistent presence on the "All-Academic Team" for four consecutive years. Following his collegiate success, Jamar entered the NFL, being drafted in the 2nd round by the Miami Dolphins. His professional football career spanned an impressive 9 years, culminating in his retirement in January of 2021.
